Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Creator Muse, operated by Honeycomb Labs (collectively, “Creator Muse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you use the Creator Muse website, applications, and related services (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Service or connect a third-party account.

Information you provide

• Account information: name, email address, authentication details, profile photo, and account identifiers.
• Creator profile: niche, goals, preferences, platforms, social handles, production style, biography, and onboarding responses.
• Creator content: ideas, prompts, research, hooks, scripts, shot lists, checklists, calendar entries, uploads, feedback, and other material you submit or generate.
• Communications: support requests, feedback, and messages you send us.

Billing, subscription, and credit information

If you open checkout or make a purchase, Paddle collects the customer, billing, tax, and payment information needed to complete the transaction. Creator Muse may receive and store limited records from Paddle, including your Paddle customer and transaction identifiers, purchased item and plan, billing interval, subscription and payment status, transaction amount and currency, applicable tax information, invoices, refunds, disputes, and—if Paddle provides them—limited payment-method descriptors such as card brand and last four digits.

Creator Muse does not receive or store your complete payment-card number or card security code. Those payment credentials are entered into and processed by Paddle through Paddle Checkout under Paddle’s own privacy notice.

• Entitlement information: plan, trial start and end, billing and credit periods, cancellation status, included and bonus credit balances, and pack grants.
• AI usage records: the AI feature used, its credit weight, request and refund identifiers, whether a request was authorized or denied, remaining balance, denial reason, model name, input and output token counts, estimated provider cost, request timing, and timestamps. Cost telemetry does not contain the prompt or generated content.

Information from Google and YouTube

If you choose to connect YouTube, we use Google OAuth and request read-only access to your YouTube account and YouTube Analytics. Depending on the features you use, we may access:

• Your YouTube channel ID, title, description, thumbnail, custom URL, subscriber count, total views, and video count.
• Recent video IDs, titles, thumbnails, publish dates, views, likes, and comment counts.
• OAuth access and refresh tokens, token expiration time, and connection status so the integration can function.

We do not request permission to upload, edit, or delete your YouTube videos. We do not collect your Google password. Creator Muse does not scrape YouTube; it obtains this information through authorized Google and YouTube APIs.

Information collected automatically

We and our service providers may collect device and browser type, IP address, timestamps, referring pages, pages or features used, session and authentication cookies, approximate location derived from IP address, and diagnostics or security events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

Our first-party product telemetry may include a randomly generated session identifier, page path, feature area, device category, referral host, campaign parameters you arrived with, performance measurements such as Core Web Vitals, and a one-way fingerprint of a client error. We do not place creator content, prompts, scripts, or raw error messages in these product analytics events.

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Service, from accounts you deliberately connect, and from vendors that help us provide authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, security, AI-powered features, and billing. For paid transactions, Paddle provides the limited customer, transaction, subscription, and status information needed to provision and support your purchase.

We use personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
• Save your workspace and provide ideas, research, scripts, production tools, analytics, and personalized recommendations.
• Analyze your connected YouTube channel only when you request a feature that needs that information.
• Process uploads and prompts, generate AI-assisted content, and maintain continuity across the creative workflow.
• Activate and administer trials, apply weighted AI-credit usage, maintain balances, process purchases and subscriptions, provide billing support, and reconcile refunds or payment disputes.
• Respond to support requests and send service, security, or account communications.
• Detect abuse, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
• Understand Service performance and improve reliability, usability, and features using information that is aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise processed as permitted by law.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Service, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

Creator Muse’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use Google and YouTube data only to provide and improve user-facing features that you request, such as channel analytics, recent-post analysis, content-gap suggestions, and personalized creative recommendations. We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or allow humans to read it except with your affirmative permission, for security or abuse investigation, to comply with law, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

Vendors may process Google user data on our behalf only as needed to provide or secure the requested functionality and subject to appropriate obligations. When you request AI analysis of recent posts, relevant YouTube data may be sent to an AI service provider solely to generate that result for you.

Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Use of YouTube is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service.

When you use an AI feature, we may send your prompt, relevant creator profile information, selected workspace content, and—only when you request connected-channel analysis—relevant YouTube information to AI service providers such as OpenAI. These providers process the information on our behalf to produce the requested result and support safety and reliability.

Please do not submit confidential information or sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your use of the Service, especially information about another person unless you have the right to provide it.

We may disclose information in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: vendors that provide authentication and database services (such as Supabase), infrastructure and storage (such as Cloudflare), AI processing (such as OpenAI), hosting, security, diagnostics, and communications.
• Payments and merchant of record: Paddle acts as the authorized reseller and merchant of record for paid Creator Muse transactions. Paddle receives and processes checkout, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and subscription information under the Paddle Privacy Notice and Paddle Buyer Terms. Paddle shares limited records with us so we can fulfill purchases, maintain entitlements, prevent abuse, and provide support.
• At your direction: when you connect a service, publish, export, share, or otherwise ask us to disclose information.
• Safety and law: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.
• Business transaction: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to customary safeguards and notice where required.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use Google user data for advertising.

We keep account and workspace information for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. The exact period depends on the information’s purpose and sensitivity.

Google and YouTube API data is refreshed or deleted as required by Google’s policies. When you disconnect YouTube, we revoke the connection where supported and clear the stored YouTube access credentials and channel connection information from your active profile. Any other stored Google or YouTube API data is deleted as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 30 calendar days after revocation, except where retention is permitted or required by law.

Deleted information may remain briefly in encrypted backups or security logs until ordinary deletion cycles complete, unless law requires longer retention. Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained.

Product analytics and model-usage telemetry may be retained in identifiable form for the period reasonably needed to measure adoption, reliability, abuse, and service economics, then aggregated or de-identified. We may keep de-identified business totals and model-cost records after account deletion when they no longer contain account content or direct identifiers.

We may retain transaction, subscription, credit-ledger, refund, chargeback, fraud-prevention, and tax or accounting records for the periods reasonably necessary to meet legal and financial obligations, establish or defend claims, and prevent abuse, even after an account is closed. Paddle maintains its own transaction and payment records under its policies and legal obligations; deleting a Creator Muse account does not by itself delete Paddle’s records.

• Profile: review or update creator profile details in Settings.
• YouTube: disconnect from Creator Muse Analytics or Settings. You can also revoke access in your Google Account connections.
• Billing: review purchases, update available payment settings, or cancel a paid subscription through Creator Muse Billing or the Paddle customer portal. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions.
• Cookies: browser settings can block or delete cookies, but required authentication and security features may stop working.
• Account and data deletion: follow our data deletion instructions or email privacy@creatormuseai.online.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied request. You may exercise a request by emailing us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where an exception applies. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification.

You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted network transport, managed authentication, and credential restrictions. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Complete card details and card security codes are handled through Paddle Checkout rather than stored by Creator Muse. Paddle’s safeguards and handling of payment information are described in its own privacy and security materials.

Creator Muse and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers.

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required.
